SAN MATEO, Calif. — February 4, 2026 — EdgeTrace today announced general availability of its air-gapped deployment for critical infrastructure operators, including utilities, ports, and secured facilities where footage and search indexes can never traverse the public internet.
In an air-gapped configuration, the entire EdgeTrace stack — ingestion, indexing, search, and export — runs on isolated hardware inside the operator's environment with no outbound connectivity. Operators get the same plain-language search and chain-of-custody exports available in connected deployments, with data sovereignty guaranteed by the architecture rather than by policy alone.
"Some networks can never reach the internet, and that requirement doesn't go away because someone wants better search," said a member of the EdgeTrace team. "Air-gapped isn't a downgrade of the product. It's the same capability, fully contained."
The air-gapped option is available now and complements EdgeTrace's standard on-prem deployment, in which indexing runs locally on an EdgeTrace appliance.
About EdgeTrace
EdgeTrace builds AI video intelligence for public safety. The platform unifies an agency's entire camera network into a single, searchable index, letting investigators and real-time crime center analysts ask questions in plain language and return ranked, timestamped results in seconds — with chain-of-custody preserved from query to courtroom. Indexing runs on-prem on an EdgeTrace appliance, with air-gapped deployments available for environments where footage can never traverse the public internet.
