SAN MATEO, Calif. — March 25, 2026 — EdgeTrace today launched the EdgeTrace Vantage VMS connector, bringing plain-language search to live operations inside real-time crime centers (RTCCs).
The Vantage connector streams both live and recorded feeds into EdgeTrace, so analysts can query the full camera fleet and time window during an active call. Results return ranked with match scores and timestamps, defaulting to a 0.6 confidence threshold that blends visual and attribute signals. Analysts can narrow by attribute — for example, "gray Dodge Challenger with black hood stripes" or "delivery van with a ladder rack, 02:00–04:00" — and hand findings to detectives or prosecutors with full chain-of-custody metadata and a single share link.
The connector supports EdgeTrace's operating tempos out of the box, from the live RTCC analyst to retrospective detective casework, command-staff posture, cross-jurisdictional fusion review, and court-ready prosecution exports.
"The live call and the cold case are different jobs, but they're the same question asked of the same footage," said a member of the EdgeTrace team. "Vantage makes that question answerable in real time."
About EdgeTrace
EdgeTrace builds AI video intelligence for public safety. The platform unifies an agency's entire camera network into a single, searchable index, letting investigators and real-time crime center analysts ask questions in plain language and return ranked, timestamped results in seconds — with chain-of-custody preserved from query to courtroom. Indexing runs on-prem on an EdgeTrace appliance, with air-gapped deployments available for environments where footage can never traverse the public internet.
